Forgetfulness

These verses are for those who suffer from 'Ayn or Sihr which causes them forgetfulness:

A'oudhu Billaahi min ash shaytaani'r rajeem

I seek refuge with Allah from Shaytan the accursed

Bismillaah-ir-Rahmaan-ir-Raheem

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Ma nansakh min ayatin aw nunsiha nati bikhayrim-minha aw mithliha alam ta'lam anna Allaha 'ala kulli shay-in qadeer

We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is over all things competent? (2:106)

Wa-an ta'foo aqrabu lit-taqwa wala tansawoo alfadla baynakum inna Allaha bima ta'maloona baseer

And to forego it is nearer to righteousness. And do not forget graciousness between you. Indeed Allah, of whatever you do, is Seeing. (2:237)

La yukallifu Allahu nafsan illa wus'aha laha ma kasabat wa'alayha maktasabat rabbana la tuakhithna in naseena aw akhtana rabbana wala tahmil 'alayna isran kama hamaltahu 'alallatheena min qablina rabbana wala tuhammilna ma la taqata lana bihi wa'fu 'anna waghfir lana warhamna anta mawlana fansurna 'alal-qawm-il-kafireen

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people." (2:286)

Waitha raayta allatheena yakhoodoona fee ayatina faaAArid AAanhum hatta yakhoodoo fee hadeethin ghayrihi waimma yunsiyannaka alshshaytanu fala taqAAud baAAda alththikra maAAa alqawmi alththalimeena

And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people. (6:68)

Illa an yashaa Allahu waothkur rabbaka itha naseeta waqul AAasa an yahdiyani rabbee liaqraba min hatha rashadan

Except [when adding], "If Allah wills." And remember your Lord when you forget [it] and say, "Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to right conduct." (18:24)

Wama natanazzalu illa biamri rabbika lahu ma bayna aydeena wama khalfana wama bayna thalika wama kana rabbuka nasiyyan

[Gabriel said], "And we [angels] descend not except by the order of your Lord. To Him belongs that before us and that behind us and what is in between. And never is your Lord forgetful – (19:64)

Qala AAilmuha AAinda rabbee fee kitabin la yadillu rabbee wala yansa

[Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." (20:52)

Waibtaghi feema ataka Allahu alddara alakhirata wala tansa naseebaka mina alddunya waahsin kama ahsana Allahu ilayka wala tabghi alfasada fee alardi inna Allaha la yuhibbu almufsideena

But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has done good to you. And desire not corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters." (28:77)

Yawma yabAAathuhumu Allahu jameeAAan fayunabbiohum bima AAamiloo ahsahu Allahu wanasoohu waAllahu AAala kulli shayin shaheedun

On the Day when Allah will resurrect them all and inform them of what they did. Allah had enumerated it, while they forgot it; and Allah is, over all things, Witness. (58:6)

Wala takoonoo kaallatheena nasoo Allaha faansahum anfusahum olaika humu alfasiqoona

And be not like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget themselves. Those are the defiantly disobedient. (59:19)

Sanuqrioka fala tansa, Illa ma shaa Allahu innahu yaAAlamu aljahra wama yakhfa

We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. (87:6-7)

  • Read, blow and rub over body.
  • Read over water, then use the water to wash, and drink from it.
  • Read over olive oil, apply and massage oil all over the body, and drink from it.
  • Write the verses with saffron, then wash and drink from it. Ibn-ul-Qayyim (May Allah have mercy on him) said in Za'ad al-Ma'ad (4/170) concerning ruqya to treat the evil eye: A number of the Salaf thought that verses of Qur'an might be written for him, then he can drink them.

These verses are for those who suffer from Sihr which causes them to bleed:

A'udhu Billahi min ash shaytaani'r rajeem

I seek refuge with Allah from Shaytan the accursed

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Waith qala rabbuka lilmalaikati innee jaAAilun fee alardi khaleefatan qaloo atajAAalu feeha man yufsidu feeha wayasfiku alddimaa wanahnu nusabbihu bihamdika wanuqaddisu laka qala innee aAAlamu ma la taAAlamoona (2:30)

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."

Waith akhathna meethaqakum la tasfikoona dimaakum wala tukhrijoona anfusakum min diyarikum thumma aqrartum waantum tashhadoona (2:84)

And [recall] when We took your covenant, [saying], "Do not shed each other's blood or evict one another from your homes." Then you acknowledged [this] while you were witnessing.

Qul la ajidu fee ma oohiya ilayya muharraman AAala taAAimin yatAAamuhu illa an yakoona maytatan aw daman masfoohan aw lahma khinzeerin fainnahu rijsun aw fisqan ohilla lighayri Allahi bihi famani idturra ghayra baghin wala AAadin fainna rabbaka ghafoorun raheemun (6:145)

Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure - or it be [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."

Likulli nabain mustaqarrun wasawfa taAAlamoona (6:67)

For every happening is a finality; and you are going to know.

Waqeela ya ardu iblaAAee maaki waya samao aqliAAee wagheeda almao waqudiya alamru waistawat AAala aljoodiyyi waqeela buAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena (11:44)

And it was said, "O earth, swallow your water, and O sky, withhold [your rain]." And the water subsided, and the matter was accomplished, and the ship came to rest on the [mountain of] Judiyy. And it was said, "Away with the wrongdoing people."

Aw yusbiha maoha ghawran falan tastateeAAa lahu talaban (18:41)

Note:

Repeat these verses for relief from this affliction, then spittle on water or olive oil to drink or massage into the body.

When you are afflicted with continuous (bleed) the above verses could be:

* read and blown and rubbed over the body

* read into water then use the water to wash and drink

* read into olive oil then use the oil to massage into the body and drink from it

* write the verses with saffron and wash and drink from it (Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that a number of the Salaf thought that verses of Qur’an could be written for a sick person to drink.)

A'udhu Billahi min ash shaytaani'r rajeem

I seek refuge with Allah from Shaytan the accursed

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Wala tusalli AAala ahadin minhum mata abadan wala taqum AAala qabrihi innahum kafaroo biAllahi warasoolihi wamatoo wahum fasiqoona

And do not pray [the funeral prayer, O Muhammad], over any of them who has died - ever - or stand at his grave. Indeed, they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger and died while they were defiantly disobedient. (9:84)

Thalika bianna Allaha huwa alhaqqu waannahu yuhyee almawta waannahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun (6) Waanna alssaAAata atiyatun la rayba feeha waanna Allaha yabAAathu man fee alquboori

That is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He is over all things competent. And [that they may know] that the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - and that Allah will resurrect those in the graves. (22:6 - 7)

Wama yastawee alahyao wala alamwatu inna Allaha yusmiAAu man yashao wama anta bimusmiAAin man fee alquboori

And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves. (35:22)

O you who have believed, do not make allies of a people with whom Allah has become angry. They have despaired of [reward in] the Hereafter just as the disbelievers have despaired of [meeting] the inhabitants of the graves. (60:13)

Qutila alinsanu ma akfarahu. Min ayyi shayin khalaqahu. Min nutfatin khalaqahu faqaddarahu. Thumma alssabeela yassarahu. Thumma amatahu faaqbarahu. Thumma itha shaa ansharahu

Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. From what substance did He create him? From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; Then He eased the way for him; Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. (80 :17-22)

Itha alssamao infatarat. Waitha alkawakibu intatharat. Waitha albiharu fujjirat. Waitha alqubooru buAAthirat. AAalimat nafsun ma qaddamat waakhkharat

When the sky breaks apart. And when the stars fall, scattering, And when the seas are erupted. And when the [contents of] graves are scattered. A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. (82:1-5)

Afala yaAAlamu itha buAAthira ma fee alquboori. Wahussila ma fee alssudoori. Inna rabbahum bihim yawmaithin lakhabeerun

But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered. And that within the breasts is obtained, Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. (100:9-11)

Alhakumu alttakathuru. Hatta zurtumu almaqabira

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you. Until you visit the graveyards. (102:1-2)

Wanufikha fee alssoori faitha hum mina alajdathi ila rabbihim yansiloona. Qaloo ya waylana man baAAathana min marqadina hatha ma waAAada alrrahmanu wasadaqa almursaloona. In kanat illa sayhatan wahidatan faitha hum jameeAAun ladayna muhdaroona

And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten. They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth." It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us. (36:51-53)

Sanuqrioka fala tansa, Illa ma shaa Allahu innahu yaAAlamu aljahra wama yakhfa

Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading, (54:7)

Yawma yakhrujoona mina alajdathi siraAAan kaannahum ila nusubin yoofidoona

The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. (70:43)

WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yadurruhum wala yanfaAAuhum wayaqooloona haolai shufaAAaona AAinda Allahi qul atunabbioona Allaha bima la yaAAlamu fee alssamawati wala fee alardi subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona

And they worship other than Allah that which neither harms them nor benefits them, and they say, "These are our intercessors with Allah " Say, "Do you inform Allah of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?" Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him (10:18)

Inna allatheena tadAAoona min dooni Allahi AAibadun amthalukum faodAAoohum falyastajeeboo lakum in kuntum sadiqeena

Indeed, those you [polytheists] call upon besides Allah are servants like you. So call upon them and let them respond to you, if you should be truthful. (7:194)

Qul ya ayyuha alnnasu in kuntum fee shakkin min deenee fala aAAbudu allatheena taAAbudoona min dooni Allahi walakin aAAbudu Allaha allathee yatawaffakum waomirtu an akoona mina almumineena

Say, [O Muhammad], "O people, if you are in doubt as to my religion - then I do not worship those which you worship besides Allah; but I worship Allah, who causes your death. And I have been commanded to be of the believers. (7:104)

Waith qala ibraheemu rabbi ijAAal hatha albalada aminan waojnubnee wabaniyya an naAAbuda alasnama

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this city [Makkah] secure and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols. (14:35)

Afahasiba allatheena kafaroo an yattakhithoo AAibadee min doonee awliyaa inna aAAtadna jahannama lilkafireena nuzulan

Then do those who disbelieve think that they can take My servants instead of Me as allies? Indeed, We have prepared Hell for the disbelievers as a lodging. (18:102)

Offin lakum walima taAAbudoona min dooni Allahi afala taAAqiloona

He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allah that which does not benefit you at all or harm you? Uff to you and to what you worship instead of Allah. Then will you not use reason?" (21:66-67)

And recite to them the news of Abraham, When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted." (26:69-71)

You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned." (29:17)

And [mention] the Day when He will gather them all and then say to the angels, "Did these [people] used to worship you?" They will say, "Exalted are You! You, [O Allah], are our benefactor not them. Rather, they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them." (34:40-41)

Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him [say], "We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position." Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever. (39:3)

Indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs retreating (27:80)

Or have they taken protectors [or allies] besides him? But Allah - He is the Protector, and He gives life to the dead, and He is over all things competent. (42:9)

Or [consider such an example] as the one who passed by a township which had fallen into ruin. He said, "How will Allah bring this to life after its death?" So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years; then He revived him. He said, "How long have you remained?" The man said, "I have remained a day or part of a day." He said, "Rather, you have remained one hundred years. Look at your food and your drink; it has not changed with time. And look at your donkey; and We will make you a sign for the people. And look at the bones [of this donkey] - how We raise them and then We cover them with flesh." And when it became clear to him, he said, "I know that Allah is over all things competent.". And [mention] when Abraham said, "My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead." [Allah] said, "Have you not believed?" He said, "Yes, but [I ask] only that my heart may be satisfied." [Allah] said, "Take four birds and commit them to yourself. Then [after slaughtering them] put on each hill a portion of them; then call them - they will come [flying] to you in haste. And know that Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise." (2 :259-260)

Allah is the ally of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light. And those who disbelieve - their allies are Taghut. They take them out of the light into darknesses. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein. (2:257)

And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed do the devils inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be associators [of others with Him]. (6:121)
